SunRail to Resume Normal Service Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2020

Posted on August 3, 2020

Test Trains will Run on the Corridor Today to Prep

SunRail will resume its normal service for customers on Tuesday, August 4—beginning with the regular 5:06 a.m. southbound train from Sanford as well as the 5:30 a.m. southbound train from DeBary. The first northbound train will leave Poinciana at the usual time of 5:45 a.m.

Crews are working to bring the 61.5-mile Central Florida Rail Corridor back online following the storm. This includes restoring equipment and gates at 127 railroad crossings.

Businesses and residents along the rail corridor can expect to see SunRail test trains running today. These trains will not be running on a set schedule, nor will they be picking up passengers. Trains are testing the corridor to make sure everything is working properly prior to resuming service on Tuesday.

For those who have active SunRail weekly, monthly, and annual passes, SunRail is working to credit the day this week that SunRail did not run. This is also a great time for riders to register their SunCards, so they can view their information, and have the benefits of being registered. Customers may view SunCard accounts by logging into the eCustomer website at https://account.sunrail.com/ecustomer_enu.Customers may also view accounts via the SunRail app or they may contact SunRail’s Customer Service Center at 1-(855)-724-5411 and [email protected]

SunRail thanks its customers for their patience during this recent storm event. For service updates and other information, visit www.sunrail.com, follow @RideSunRail, or download the SunRail app.

For questions, please contact Public Information Officer, Jessica Ottaviano, at 386-943-5473 or [email protected].

Please be careful around trains, railroad tracks and crossings, and while at SunRail station platforms. Be Smart. Be Safe.
