Sachs Media today announced that veteran state government communicator Jenn Meale Poggie will join the agency’s senior leadership team in the role of Senior Account Manager of Public Affairs, advancing the top-ranked firm’s ability to provide superior service to its diverse roster of clients.
“Jenn is an exemplary talent whose vast experience and diverse skills deepen our leadership bench with outstanding strategic thinking, a powerful network of relationships, and proven communications skills,” said Founder and CEO Ron Sachs. “Her top-level background makes her a very strong and major addition to our team.”
Poggie brings more than a decade of experience as a communications director for three state agencies — the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation, the Florida Attorney General’s Office, under former AG Pam Bondi, and the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, under former Commissioner Adam Putnam. While at DBPR, Poggie served as former-Governor Rick Scott’s Acting Press Secretary during the transition.
Poggie graduated from Brown University with a bachelor’s degree in English and Visual Arts.
“Jenn will play a key role in leading significant accounts that involve statewide outreach, important public policy issues, and insider knowledge of state government,” said Michelle Ubben, President & Partner at Sachs Media. “We run on talent, so it’s exciting to welcome a superb professional like Jenn onto our great team.”
Poggie joins the firm as Sachs Media approaches its 25th anniversary in business, routinely ranked among the top independent PR firms in the country and frequently recognized for its award-winning work. The firm has current contracts to develop public education and outreach campaigns for state and federal governments and has a spectrum of private sector, association and non-profit clients, including The Suddath Companies, Lyft, The Florida Bar, and Healthy Start.
“I am thrilled to be joining the high-caliber, talented team at Sachs Media. During the course of my career, I have seen firsthand how the firm’s effective strategic campaigns have advanced positive public policy, changed public behavior and achieved its impressive clients’ vital missions,” said Poggie.
In addition to Sachs and Ubben, Poggie joins a leadership team that includes partners Lisa Garcia, Herbie Thiele, Ryan Cohn, Drew Piers, and Karen Cyphers, and other senior leaders Cheryl Stopnick, Kathy Maiorana, Jon Peck, Chauniqua Major and Kelly Corder.
