The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will host a Virtual Public Meeting (VPM) on Thursday, September 17, 2020, to discuss proposed roadway improvements on Central Avenue (State Road (S.R.) 19) in Lake County. Proposed improvements include resurfacing all travel lanes, shoulders, and on-street parking areas. Also included in the project are narrowing the median between the travel lanes to accommodate a bicycle lane, reconstruct the sidewalk, and improve related drainage, signage and pavement markings.

The meeting is being conducted as a VPM, which is a free live presentation or webinar over the internet. If you wish to participate in the VPM online, registration is required prior to joining the VPM. Interested participants will need to visit the following website to register: https://fdot.cc/sr19.

Once registered, participants will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the VPM online from a computer, tablet or cell phone. Meeting materials, including presentation will be made available on the project website at www.cflroads.com/437938-1. Participants are also able to listen to the meeting on their telephones by dialing 1-866-952-8437 and entering the access code 727-817-888 when prompted.

The VPM opens at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 17, 2020. A formal narrated PowerPoint presentation will begin promptly at 5:45 p.m. Please provide adequate log-in time to view or listen to the presentation in its entirety.

Persons with disabilities who require accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) or persons who require translation services (free of charge) should contact Eric Trull, Communications Specialist, at 407-569-8993 or [email protected] at least seven (7) days prior to the VPM. If you are hearing or speech impaired, please contact us by using the Florida Relay Service, 1-800-955-8771 (TDD) or 1-800-955-8770 (Voice).

Public participation is solicited without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex, religion, disability or family status.  Persons wishing to express their concerns relative to FDOT compliance with Title VI may do so by contacting Jennifer Smith, FDOT District Five Title VI Coordinator at [email protected].

We encourage you to participate in the Central Avenue (S.R. 19) resurfacing virtual public meeting. If you have questions about the project, please contact FDOT Project Manager Naziru Isaac at 386-943-5547, or email [email protected].
