The Florida National Guard has approximately 125 Soldiers and Airmen activated in support of the state’s response to Hurricane Sally, and they are primarily manning the Logistics Support Area (LSA) in Tallahassee as the mission concludes. Their mission is to properly account for all equipment and supplies that were used in the response.
The FLNG distributed almost 600,000 Meals Ready to Eat (MREs) and nearly 2 million bottles of water to residents in the panhandle.
