Recognizing his commitment to working proactively with law enforcement and our state’s first responders on the issues that matter, Senator Jose Javier Rodriguez (D-Miami) has been endorsed by the Florida State Fraternal Order of Police and the SouthFlorida Police Benevolent Association.
“Throughout my time in office, I’ve always strived to ensure we put public safety first in every action we take in the Legislature,” stated Senator Jose Javier Rodriguez. “That has meant working side by side with our law enforcement and first responders to ensure that they have the resources they need to carry out their service to our communities. I am proud to have the support of the Florida State Fraternal Order of Police and the South Florida Police Benevolent Association and will continue to stand with them on behalf of District 37.”
The Florida State Fraternal Order of Police’s mission is to promote and foster the impartial enforcement of the law, to encourage social, charitable, educational activities among all law enforcement officers, and to increase the efficiency of the police profession and thus more firmly establish the confidence of the public in the service that is dedicated to the protection of life and property.
“In law enforcement, our top priority each day is to serve the citizens of our community by putting their well-being first,” declared Al Palacios, President of the Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge 133. “Senator Jose Javier Rodriguez has been a strong partner in carrying out that mission and we are proud to support his reelection to District 37.”
Established in 1972, the South Florida Police Benevolent Association is a politically proactive labor organization that represents law enforcement officers in negotiations for wages, benefits and terms of their employment, while providing a strong and effective voice for their members before the Legislature.
“Our members put themselves on the frontlines each day in order to protect the people of Florida and ensure we keep our citizens safe,” said Steadman Stahl, President of the South Florida Police Benevolent Association. “In Tallahassee, Senator Jose Javier Rodriguez has always fought on behalf of our first responders and that’s why we stand with him in his campaign for reelection.”
