The Florida A&M University (FAMU) Bragg Memorial Stadium COVID-19 Testing Site will end antibody testing effective Friday, Oct. 2. Free diagnostic testing, which has benefitted more than 50,000 people over the past five months, will continue.
On August 7, the Bragg testing site started offering antibody testing to residents to better understand the scope of COVID-19 spread in the Leon County community. To date, more than 1,600 patients have been tested.
An antibody test will tell a patient if they were infected at some point with the virus that causes COVID-19. The test does not guarantee immunity for those with a positive result.
The walk-up site is open Monday through Saturday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. unless closed due to inclement weather. Appointments are not accepted, and there are no age restrictions. Tests will be administered on a first-come, first-served basis. No referral is required.
The site is being operated with support from FAMU, the Florida Department of Health in Leon County, the Florida Division of Emergency Management, and other partners.
