Florida’s U.S. Senators unite in their support of Cortes’s bid to return to the
Florida House, citing his effective leadership in working with both parties
The Bob Cortes for State Representative Campaign today announced that both Senator Marco Rubio and Senator Rick Scott have endorsed his bid for the District 30 seat in the Florida House of Representatives.
“I am proud to endorse Bob Cortes as District 30’s next State Representative because I have seen first-hand the hard work that Bob puts in every day on behalf of his community,” said Rubio. “Bob has always put partisan politics aside because his main priority is the families of his district. That’s why I encourage every voter to send Bob back to the Florida House so he can continue the important work he has done on their behalf.”
Rubio was elected to the U.S Senate in 2010. Previously, he served as Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives.
“Bob Cortes has always worked across the aisle to get things done and put his community first,” said Scott. “I fully endorse Bob Cortes because he has been a true fighter for Central Florida and we need his effective leadership back in the Florida House of Representatives.”

Rick Scott has served as United States Senator since 2019 and was Florida’s 45th Governor, serving from 2011 to 2019.
“Both Senator Scott and Senator Rubio have always been advoates for the residents of Central Florida,” said Cortes. “They are always willing to roll up their sleeves to get things done, and it’s a real honor to have their support.”
