Members of the Florida Legislative Black Caucus will host an informative virtual town hall meeting on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at 7:30 p.m. The purpose of the virtual town hall meeting is to discuss each proposed constitutional amendment on the ballot this election cycle, explain the consequences of each proposed amendment and answer any questions or concerns.
“We are determined to equip our constituents with knowledge about every issue on the ballot so that they may make an informed decision. The November ballot will consist of not only political candidates and judges but includes six proposed constitutional amendments that will affect and shape the laws of local municipalities and the state of Florida,” stated Senator Bobby Powell, Jr., Chairman of the Florida Legislative Black Caucus. Each proposed amendment on the ballot requires at least 60% approval from voters to pass.
Voting is not only a right, but an honor and a privilege. The members of the Florida Legislative Black Caucus encourage all eligible citizens to register to vote, educate yourself on the candidates and constitutional amendments and vote each and every election cycle to ensure that your voice is heard.
