MEDIA ADVISORY

FDOT Secretary Kevin J. Thibault, P.E. to hold virtual media availability

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is facilitating the ninth and final task force meeting for the Multi-use Corridors of Regional Economic Significance (M-CORES) program after thirteen months of meetings and Community Open Houses. During the final meeting, subject matter experts serving on the task forces will receive public comment, review the public comments submitted regarding the draft report, and hold their final discussion to revise the task force report.

The final task force meetings will be held on the following days:

  • Southwest-Central Florida Corridor: Monday, October 19
  • Suncoast Corridor: Tuesday, October 20
  • Northern Turnpike Corridor: Wednesday, October 21

FDOT Secretary Kevin J. Thibault, P.E. will participate in the morning session of all three task force meetings. During the morning scheduled break, FDOT Secretary Thibault will host a virtual media availability. Members of the media interested in participating must contact FDOT Communications Director Beth Frady at [email protected] for more information.

Virtual and In-Person Options for Members of the Public:

This final meeting will be conducted in a hybrid format, allowing members of the public to attend in person to view the meeting broadcast as well as provide public comment. Each task force meeting will have two locations open to the public that will broadcast the meeting live via GoToWebinar. Those who prefer to participate through the virtual GoToWebinar platform are encouraged to register online at FloridaMCORES.com/calendar-of-events by clicking on the preferred meeting date.
