Speaker Pro Tem Marylynn Magar today announced the formation of the Magar Conservatives Fund, a political committee with the sole purpose of providing support for conservative candidates running in key legislative and local races in Florida. The committee will help candidates based on their commitment to the principles of limited government, their willingness to advocate for tax and regulatory reform, and the need for assistance as indicated by various campaign factors.
“I have been blessed over the past 8 years to work with some of the best conservatives in leading Florida,” said Magar. “We introduced significant reforms in healthcare, education, and corrections using the policy that government is best when limited and kept closest to the people it serves.”
Magar added: “Bigger government leads to more tyranny, less freedom, and less economic prosperity for everyone. The only way to keep Florida the prosperity destination of the world is for conservatives to continue to lead.”
The Magar Conservatives Fund has identified the following key legislative races to remind low-propensity Republicans and non-partisan voters of the need for pro-business, anti-tax, and anti-regulatory leadership for Florida’s economy:
- Chuck Clemons, House District 21
- Elizabeth Fetterhoff, House District 26
- Webster Barnaby, House District 27
- Bob Cortes, House District 30
- Toby Overdorf, House District 83
- Dana Trabulsy, House District 84
- Tom Fabricio, House District 103
