The Florida Board of Governors (FBOG) approved new terms for three members of the Florida A&M University (FAMU ) Board of Trustees.

Trustees Thomas W. Dortch, Jr., Kristin Harper and Craig Reed were reappointed to serve five-year terms during the FBOG Nov. 5 meeting. Their reappointment is subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.

“We are grateful for the tireless effort, wisdom and insight that Trustees Dortch, Harper and Reed have brought during their service on the FAMU BOT,” said FAMU President Larry Robinson, Ph.D. “We are extremely fortunate that they have been reappointed and will continue to play critical roles in the advancement of our institutional mission as the University addresses challenges and pursues opportunities over the next five years.”

Trustee Dortch is chairman and chief executive officer of TWD, Inc., based in Atlanta. The chairman emeritus of 100 Black Men Inc., Dortch established the National Black College Alumni Hall of Fame Foundation, Inc., and co-founded the Georgia Association of Minority Entrepreneurs.
