Representative Chip LaMarca issued the below statement following his re-election as State Representative for House District 93 regarding Monday’s upcoming Broward Legislative Delegation organizational meeting:
“The votes have been counted here in Florida, and even in Broward County, and the HD93 race ended in overwhelming support for my message of bipartisanship and working together. In addition, over 332,000 people throughout Broward County cast a vote for the Republican top of the ticket, and only about 220,000 voters are registered Republicans in Broward County.
“It is past time that the Broward County Legislative Delegation actually makes an attempt to work together to get things done for ALL of its residents. With two new Republican voices joining me here in Broward, my colleagues can no longer ignore the Republican, No Party Affiliation, and Independent voices of Broward. Our 19 member delegation and its leadership must represent our entire community, not just 49% of it.
“As the senior Republican member of the delegation, this is why I am throwing my hat in the ring for the Broward County Legislative Delegation Vice Chair position so we can give a voice to everyone and show the voters that their votes actually do matter.”
