Weekend I-4 Ultimate Closures Forecast: December 11 – 14

Ahead of the weekend, motorists should anticipate nighttime full closures on Interstate 4 (I-4) and State Road (S.R.) 408 for various construction activities.

The closures include eastbound and westbound I-4 in Seminole and Orange counties as well as westbound S.R. 408 in the downtown area. In addition, Colonial Drive will be closed in one direction under I-4 throughout much of the weekend.

Please note that schedules below are subject to change due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. Motorists are encouraged to follow @I4Ultimate on Twitter or visit the interactive construction map on the I-4 Ultimate website for updates and information related to these closures.

Here are the forecasted major closures from December 10 to December 14:

  • Eastbound I-4 from South Street to Colonial Drive (S.R.) 50 is scheduled to close as soon as 10 p.m. Friday, December 11, to 8 a.m. Saturday, December 12, for road work. Please view or download this handout for more details.
  • Westbound I-4 from S.R. 436 to Maitland Boulevard is scheduled to close as soon as 11:30 p.m. Friday, December 11, to 6 a.m. Saturday, December 12, for sign installation. Please view or download this handout for more details.
  • Eastbound Colonial Drive under I-4 as well as Garland Avenue between Amelia Street and Colonial Drive will close continuously as soon as 9 a.m. Saturday, December 12, and reopen by 6 a.m. Monday, December 14. Please view or download this handout for more details.
  • Westbound S.R. 408 from Summerlin Avenue to Orange Blossom Trail is scheduled to close as soon as 11 p.m. Saturday, December 12, to 5 a.m. Sunday, December 13. Please view or download this handout for more details.
