The Florida A&M University (FAMU) Bragg Memorial Stadium COVID-19 Test Site is announcing days of operation during the holidays.
The site will be closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, Dec. 24-25, and New Year’s Day.
- Christmas: Closed all day Dec. 24-25
- New Year’s: Closed all day Jan. 1
The site is open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. from Monday through Saturday, unless closed due to inclement weather or official holidays. Individuals with appointments later in the afternoon are encouraged to arrive early to ensure there is enough time to receive a test.
Testing is free and no physician referral or insurance is required. Although walk-ups are accepted, preregistration is recommended by going to the state vendor’s website https://curative.com.
At the site, the rapid COVID-19 antigen test sample is collected by a health care worker who will gently swab the inside of a patient’s nostrils. Results are texted to patients within minutes. PCR tests are available upon request. The site had conducted more than 136,000 tests.
The Florida Division of Emergency Management oversees operations at the community-based site in partnership with FAMU, Bond Community Health Center and the Florida Department of Health-Leon County.
