Students can learn everything they need to know to prepare, apply and pay for college during a four-night event held March 8-11.
“College 101: What to Do, When to Do it, and How” is free to attend and each night will cover a different and important step of the college preparation process. Each session begins at 6:30 ET. To register go to FloridaShines | College 101 Event: What to do, when to do it, and how.
Prospective students will find out how to explore all their college options including various career and technical programs and two-year and four-year degrees. They will also learn how to stand out in their college application and shine in their essay. The event will also provide crucial information on the three main ways to pay for college and what final steps students need to take after they have been accepted so they can start the fall semester strong.
Those who attend will also hear from current college students who will discuss what the process was like for them and what college life has been like during the COVID-19 pandemic.
