Special Unveiling Ceremony to Include Florida CFO and FDVA Deputy Executive Director
The Florida Veterans Foundation (FVF) will honor individuals committed to serving Florida’s veterans in need on Thursday, March 18, from 8:00 – 8:30 a.m. in the Florida Capitol as part of its Forward March Ambassadors Wall Unveiling Ceremony. The event will feature Florida’s Chief Financial Officer Jimmy Patronis, Florida Department of Veterans Affairs Deputy Executive Director Major General James Hartsell and several legislators, including many of the 21 lawmakers who have or are currently serving in the U.S. Military, to help recognize these Ambassadors for their ongoing commitment to the FVF’s initiatives.
The Florida Veterans Foundation (FVF) Ambassador Program grew out of the Forward March Campaign initiated by Governor Ron DeSantis. With fellow Veterans, Business and Community leaders across Florida, it identified ideas and recommendations for “Best Practices” to better serve Florida Veterans and their families through the FVF initiatives. This includes providing emergency support services to veterans in crisis due to the COVID-19 pandemic. FVF Ambassadors are recognized on the “Ambassadors Wall” in the Florida State Capitol, which will be unveiled during this special event.
