AFP Applauds House Professions and Public Health Subcommittee for Approving Telehealth Legislation

Posted on March 23, 2021

Americans for Prosperity-Florida State Director Skylar Zander today issued the following statement after the Professions and Public Health Subcommittee approved House Bill 247, which is sponsored by Rep. Mike Giallombardo and Rep. Tom Fabricio.

“Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, we’ve seen how effective telehealth services are at increasing access to health care for Floridians. Making telehealth permanent in a responsible way can enhance health care as we know it across the state while reducing costs at the same time. House Bill 247 is sure to improve the lives of countless Floridians, and Americans for Prosperity praises the Professions and Public Health Subcommittee for approving this meaningful legislation. We’re also appreciative of Rep. Mike Giallombardo and Rep. Tom Fabricio for their leadership on improving Florida’s health care landscape.”
