Orlando Lamas today announced he has stockpiled over $80,000 in his first month as a candidate for Florida House District 111, which encompasses portions of Hialeah, Miami Springs, and Virginia Gardens. The district also contains Miami International Airport.
“We believed we would do well in our first month, and these numbers speak for themselves,” said candidate Orlando Lamas. “The outpouring of support from within the District demonstrates a strong endorsement from the community. I look forward to campaigning in the coming months, and it is encouraging to know we have so much support right from the beginning.”
Lamas, born and raised in Hialeah, is a licensed architect and a certified general contractor. In addition to leading his own architectural firm, he also is the principal of a full service construction firm and has worked on many projects throughout Miami-Dade County, including Dolphin Mall and Bayside Marketplace and is co-owner of multiple hospitality venues in Miami-Dade County.
The district is currently represented by Bryan Avila, who is not running for re-election due to term limits.
