Florida Health Care Association has launched Florida.CarefortheAging.org, a new website to help job seekers explore career opportunities in the long term and post-acute care field and find job openings in skilled nursing and assisted living facilities across Florida.
Florida.CarefortheAging.org features a wealth of resources, including state-specific education requirements, salaries and career-focused testimonial videos from caregivers to inspire high-school students, early career professionals and job seekers looking to pursue a career in the rewarding field of long term care. The site also includes a link to open positions in skilled nursing and assisted living facilities via FHCA’s online Job Board, along with a built-in interest form to capture information from site visitors, especially those seeking a new career opportunity.
“Individuals working in Florida’s skilled nursing centers and assisted living communities often find great reward in serving our state’s seniors and a sense of purpose and fulfillment in their careers,” said FHCA CEO Emmett Reed. “This new resource is an excellent tool designed to help educate the public on the diverse range of opportunities available in the long term and post-acute care profession and supports our members in their efforts to attract, recruit and retain skilled caregivers.”
High school students, early career professionals and job seekers looking for new opportunities are encouraged to visit https://florida.carefortheaging.org/ to get connected with resources and employers with open positions.
FHCA’s Florida.CarefortheAging.org website is sponsored by Matchwell and is being launched in conjunction with Careers in Aging Week (April 18-24, 2021), a national initiative observed annually to raise awareness about the diverse careers available in the field of aging.
