Florida Hospital Association President and CEO Mary Mayhew today applauded Governor Ron DeSantis, Senate President Wilton Simpson and House Speaker Chris Sprowls for sustaining funding for Florida’s hospitals. The latest state budget proposal included no cuts to Florida’s hospitals.
“On behalf of Florida’s doctors, nurses, and hospital staff, we thank Governor Ron DeSantis, Senate President Wilton Simpson, and House Speaker Chris Sprowls for their commitment to the health of our state’s residents. The legislature’s latest budget proposal fully funds Florida’s hospitals and the health care heroes who have risked their lives through the pandemic. Florida’s historic investment in health care would not have been possible without steadfast state leadership powering our strong economic recovery and growth.”
