Sen. Dennis Baxley today made remarks on the signing of the Florida Budget by Gov. Ron DeSantis. Baxley also released the list below of local projects funded by the budget and made possible by the work of the Legislature.
“We have come through a tough year and emerged even stronger,” said Sen. Dennis Baxley. “I’m greatly encouraged by this budget and the work we did in the Florida Legislature to make sure Senate District 12 received its fair share of funding for vitally important projects. Among these programs are:
- Umatilla Water Line Replacement — $243,045
- Ocala-Sewer Exfiltration Project — $500,000
- Mascotte-Groveland Regional WWTF Upgrade — $750,000
- Clermont Waste Water Treatment Plant — $1,000,000
- College of Central FL Gym/Health Science — $7,800,000
- Community, Cops, Courts and State Attorney – Violent Crime Intervention — $250,000
- FSU Boys and Girls State — $200,000
- Learning Through Listening-Florida — $150,000
- Special Olympics Florida — $250,000
- Community Transition Services for Adults/DIS — $450,000
- Floridians Active Duty Assistance Program SOT — $250,000
- City of Ocala SW 44th Avenue Expansion — $1,000,000
- Green Mountain Connector – Lake — $2,000,000
- Wekiva Trail Expansion — $2,000,000
- Citrus County Construction Inverness Airport — $5,080,000
