In one of the first moves for conservative state leaders in this election cycle, State Representative Stan McClain of Ocala today endorsed Griff Griffitts for State Representative. McClain is a noted advocate on second amendment rights and tax reform, and he was the lead sponsor of the legislation signed earlier this year by Governor Ron DeSantis that banned transgender athletes from playing women’s high school sports in Florida.
“I have followed Griff’s career for several years now.” said State Representative Stan McClain. “He is a trusted conservative on taxes, the constitution, and strengthening Florida’s families. I have admired Jay Trumbull’s leadership and am looking forward to seeing another conservative like him join us in Tallahassee to lead Florida forward.”
Griff is now the out-sized front-runner in the race to become Bay County’s next State Representative. Even before today’s endorsement, Griffitts had raised over $100,000, more than 10 times his closest competitor.
“I am more than pleased with our fundraising success thus far,” said Griff Griffitts. “But I am more pleased that almost every dollar has come from local contributors who I know personally. Our community support is surging, and now with other state elected officials beginning to take notice, I am confident that we are on a path to victory.”
A lifelong resident of Panama City Beach, Griff Griffitts currently serves as a Bay County Commissioner and is the co-owner of a local residential construction business with his brother.
