FDLE and the Largo Police Department today arrested Andrew Carlson, 43, of Clearwater on two counts of transmission of child sexual abuse material and 11 counts of possession of child sexual abuse material.
The investigation began on March, when an IP address was identified advertising child pornography available for download and distribution. Carlson was the sole resident and account holder for internet service at the address.
A search warrant led to the discovery of multiple images of child sexual abuse material, some featuring children as young as six years old, on a computer seized from Carlson’s residence.
Carlson was booked into the Pinellas County Jail. Additional charges are dependent upon completion of forensics exams. This case will be prosecuted by the State Attorney’s Office, 6th Judicial Circuit.
