Three Lanes Closing on EB I-4 From Rio Grande Ave. to Michigan St. Starting Overnight Aug. 27

Posted on August 27, 2021

ORLANDO, Fla. – The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will temporarily close the three leftmost lanes of traffic on eastbound Interstate 4 (I-4) between Rio Grande Avenue and Michigan Street.

The closures will occur continuously beginning as early as 9 p.m. Friday, August 27, and conclude by 9 p.m. Saturday, August 28.

The eastbound I-4 entrance ramp from Orange Blossom Trail (U.S. 441/17-92) and the eastbound I-4 exit ramp to Kaley Avenue will also close from 10 p.m. August 27 through 9 p.m. August 28 to accommodate the lane closures.

Eastbound I-4 motorists exiting to Kaley Avenue will instead use Exit 80B to northbound Orange Blossom Trail and continue to Kaley Avenue. Northbound Orange Blossom Trail motorists seeking to enter eastbound I-4 will instead enter from Michigan Street.

The closures are necessary to safely conduct bridge work.

Please view or download this handout for more information about the closure and detours.

Schedules are subject to change due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. All motorists are urged to avoid distractions, follow posted signage and drive safely.
