Detours will begin as soon as Oct. 4, 2021
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will be closing a section of County Road (C.R.) 25 north of Oak Street starting Oct. 4 for bridge work as part of the U.S. 441 widening project between Lake Ella Road and Avenida Central.
The closure is scheduled to begin as soon as the morning of Monday, Oct. 4 and remain in effect until the project is completed in fall 2023.
During the closure, detours will be in place to guide motorists back to C.R. 25. These detour routes are as follows:
- Motorists driving south on C.R. 25 who wish to continue south should turn right (west) onto Fennell Boulevard, turn left (south) onto U.S. 441, and turn right (west) onto Oak Street to get back to C.R. 25.
- Motorists driving north on C.R. 25 who wish to continue north should travel east on Oak Street, turn left (north) onto U.S. 441, and turn right (east) onto Fennell Boulevard to get back to C.R. 25.
Message boards and signs will alert drivers in the area. Motorists are urged to use caution and follow the posted detour signage. Please note that the construction schedule may change due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.
