14th Street Causeway over the Intracoastal Waterway Bridge Closures Occurring in November

State Road (SR) 844/14th Street Causeway over the Intracoastal Waterway will close to vehicle and pedestrian traffic from 11 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12, to 8 a.m. Monday, Nov. 15, and from 11 p.m. Friday, Nov. 19, to 8 a.m. Monday, Nov. 22, for routine maintenance on the bridge’s mechanical components.

Marine traffic will be maintained through the navigable waterway. Access to adjacent properties on 14th Street Causeway will be maintained. Traffic will be detoured to SR 814/Atlantic Boulevard and SR 810/Hillsboro Boulevard as follows (see attached map):

  • Traffic east of the bridge should: Go south on State Road A1A to Atlantic Boulevard, go west on Atlantic Boulevard to Federal Highway, go north on Federal Highway to 14th Street Causeway. Or go north on State Road A1A to Hillsboro Boulevard; go west on Hillsboro Boulevard to Federal Highway; go south on Federal Highway to 14th Street Causeway.
  • Traffic west of the bridge should: Go south on Federal Highway to Atlantic Boulevard, go east on Atlantic Boulevard to State Road A1A, go north on State Road A1A to 14th Street Causeway. Or go north on Federal Highway to Hillsboro Boulevard; go east on Hillsboro Boulevard to State Road A1A, go south on State Road A1A to 14th Street Causeway.
