The Florida House of Representatives today released drafts of their state and federal redistricting maps. Co-Leader Evan Jenne issued the following statement.
“The House has released their draft maps we are looking forward to seeing how they comply with the federal Voting Rights Act and the Fair Districts Amendments to the Florida Constitution. There’s still a lot of work to do on these maps and House leadership has had no substantial public conversations about this incredibly important process. It’s early, and hopefully we can have a productive public dialogue about how to make the fairest maps for the people of Florida,” said Co-Leader Evan Jenne (D- Hollywood).
