Statement from Laura Goodhue, Executive Director of the Florida Alliance of Planned Parenthood Affiliates, on the House Health Care Appropriations Subcommittee’s passage of the 15-week abortion ban (HB 5):
“Today, in the so-called ‘free’ state of Florida, young people attempting to participate in our government of, by and for the people were silenced and then physically removed from a committee preparing to vote on an extreme abortion ban. This isn’t freedom. Not the process. And not this bill.”
