MONAT Gratitude Awards Grant to Tallahassee Nonprofit to Close Education Achievement Gaps

Posted on January 28, 2022

MONAT Gratitude has awarded local Tallahassee nonprofit TeenPreneur Foundation, Inc. with a $20,000 grant, part of MONAT’s $1 million pledge to close achievement gaps in underserved communities around the world. The grant will be used to fund youth entrepreneurship programs in Tallahassee while helping to enhance the participants’ capacity to make healthier life choices and become better citizens of our community and nation.

“MONAT Gratitude is devoted to trail-blazing initiatives that support people in the communities in which we live and work,” said MONAT Gratitude CEO Lu Urdaneta. “We hope the grant helps TeenPreneur Foundation in its important mission to offer support and education to underserved youth in Tallahassee.”

This grant is part of MONAT Gratitude’s ongoing efforts to support new and existing initiatives in arts and culture, youth sports and recreation, and youth entrepreneurship around the world. TeenPreneur Foundation leads initiatives that allow teens to start successful small businesses, providing them with career development and life skills trainings, and mentorship from culinary artists, food truck owners, business leaders, engineers, lawyers, architects, and more.

“MONAT Gratitude is doing beneficial work to advance the cause of nonprofits with this grant, and we are truly grateful to them for choosing to help us better the lives of our community’s youth through entrepreneurship programs,” said Jennifer Donald, Executive Director of TeenPreneur Foundation.

TeenPreneur Foundation is one of the 15 recipients in the first grant cycle. MONAT Gratitude will periodically announce more winners over the next 12 months. Eligible nonprofits can learn more and apply for grants ranging from $5,000 to $20,000 through MONAT Gratitude’s grant page at monatgratitude.com.
