Data Analysis Reveals Gap Between Salary
and Median Home Price for Hometown Heroes

The Hometown Hero Housing Program (SB 788) is critically necessary to help first responders, law enforcement, educators, and health care workers receive the assistance they need to have the opportunity to own a home in the communities where they work. Bill sponsor Sen. Ed Hooper, CFO Jimmy Patronis, Florida Realtors President Christina Pappas, and a number of other supportive organizations and association leaders will hold a press conference on Wednesday, February 9 at 9 am to highlight the need to address the affordable housing crisis and release a data analysis that shows the income gap for many of these hometown heroes. The news conference will take place on the 4th floor of the Florida Capitol.
