Representative Tracie Davis Condemns DeSantis Response to Rogan Apology

Posted on February 11, 2022

Governor Ron DeSantis told Fox News Digital on Monday that Joe Rogan should “not apologize” for his previous statements using the N-word on his program. In response to his remarks, State Representative Tracie Davis (D-Jacksonville) issued the following statement:

“Under Governor DeSantis, the only things being canceled in the state of Florida are decency and civility. His dismissive attitude towards Rogan’s pattern of racist remarks is shameful and an insult to all Black Floridians. Everyone in our state deserves to be treated equally, with dignity and respect. However, the Governor continues to engage in this reckless and inappropriate politicization of racism that is very dangerous for us all because he believes it will help his own political ambitions. Governor, stop creating division where none exists and start doing your job. Floridians can’t afford Florida, our kids are under attack, and your corporate donors are the only ones happy with you,” said Representative Tracie Davis (D- Jacksonville).
