Earlier today, Representative Jervontae “Tae” Edmonds (D-West Palm Beach) was officially sworn-in on the House Floor ahead of Floor Session, officially rounding out the 42-member Florida House Democratic Caucus. Representative Edmonds also addressed the House Democratic Caucus during today’s Caucus meeting where he was welcomed by members.
“It’s great to have Representative Edmonds here with us today,” said House Democratic Caucus Leader Evan Jenne (D-Dania Beach). “He’s going to be a great member of the Caucus. Having been a former legislative aide, we know what his work ethic is like and what he brings to the table which makes us look forward to what he accomplishes in the Florida House of Representatives and how he’ll represent his constituents.”
“Today marks an historic day. As one of the youngest State Representatives ever elected from Palm Beach County, I am excited to hit the ground running to create the most impact possible with only a few days left in Session. I am extremely fortunate to have an opportunity to vote on Florida’s proposed $100+ Billion-dollar budget,” said Representative Edmonds.
Representative Edmonds won the special election for House District 88 on March 8, 2022.
