State Representative Yvonne Hayes Hinson (D-Gainesville) will co-host the Big Brothers Big Sisters Launch in Marion County in partnership with BBBS Marion from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at the Community Building at the MLK First Responder Campus.
The launch is especially suited for students and parents to learn more about the mentoring services for youth in the Marion County Community. Big Brothers Big Sisters seeks to change the lives of children facing adversity for the better through their one-to-one mentoring program and community-based solutions.
“As Big Brothers Big Sisters launches their branch in Marion County, my aim for this event is to highlight the outstanding opportunities now available in the community,” said Representative Hinson. “BBBS programs help children achieve their educational goals, build for the future, and unlock their full potential.
There will be free food and drinks, as well as fire truck tours for the children.
