Posted on May 11, 2022

Hospital Announces Groundbreaking of Outpatient Diagnostic Imaging Center

HCA Florida Capital Hospital, an affiliate of HCA Florida Healthcare, announces the groundbreaking of a $3.5 million, 10,000+ square foot, outpatient Imaging Center. The new imaging center is driven by the need in the community for increased access to high-quality medical imaging services. The imaging center is a joint-venture with Envision Radiology, offering advanced, quality, and convenient diagnostic services and specialized radiologists. The imaging center will feature state-of-the-art imaging technology and private dressing rooms in a new comfortable, modern location.

The imaging center will offer the following services:

  • Bone Density Scans
  • Cardiac Scoring
  • CT Scans
  • 3D Mammography
  • Biopsy
  • MRA Scans
  • MRI Scans
  • CT guided pain injections
  • Ultrasound/Sonogram
  • X-Ray
  • Interventional procedures

“We are so proud to break ground on the new outpatient imaging center,” said Elizabeth Paine, Chief Operating Officer of HCA Florida Capital Hospital. “This is truly an outpatient, accessible location where people can come to receive advanced imaging services without having to enter the hospital. It will make things much easier for our patients. 3D mammography will also be available at the new center which is the gold standard. Mammograms play such a critical role in the early detection of breast cancer and we’re hopeful that with the addition of 3D mammograms and our biopsy capabilities, we’ll be able to lessen the anxiety associated with mammograms and, as a result, increase screenings in our community.”

“With the addition of the outpatient imaging center, HCA Florida Capital Hospital is pleased to expand its imaging capabilities and meet the healthcare needs of the community,” said, Alan Keesee, Chief Executive Officer of HCA Florida Capital Hospital.
“HCA Florida Capital hospital continues to offer imaging services including MRI, CT scan, ultrasound, X-ray and more at its main hospital.”

In addition to the imaging center – HCA Florida Capital Pulmonary Specialists will also be housed in the building – offering comprehensive pulmonary services – specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of complex conditions related to the respiratory system.

The project is scheduled for completion December 2022 and is located at 2369 Phillips Rd., Tallahassee, FL. To learn more about services provided at HCA Florida Capital Hospital, visit HCAFloridaHealthcare.com.
