Meeting will be offered in multiple platforms

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will hold a public meeting regarding project plans on the Truck and Freight Alternative Site Analysis Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study on Thursday, June 30, 2022, at 5:30 p.m. The purpose of this project is to evaluate and recommend potential truck and freight parking site alternatives along the I-4 corridor that are viable for private and public operator use.

Additional public meetings for prospective truck parking site alternatives along the I-4 corridor are scheduled in June 2022 for Osceola and Volusia counties. A meeting was held in Seminole County in May 2022. Each public meeting for this project will include the same information and presentation on potential sites across all counties.

The Department is offering multiple ways for the community to participate in the meeting. All participants, regardless of platform they choose, will participate in the same live meeting.

Virtual Option: Interested persons may join the Virtual Public Meeting (VPM) from a computer, tablet, or mobile device. A VPM is a free live presentation or webinar over the internet. For this option, advance registration is required by visiting attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/4190237036043447309. Once registered, participants will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting online. Please note, Internet Explorer cannot be used to register or attend this webinar. If joining online, please allow adequate log-in time to view the presentation in its entirety.

Phone Option (Listen Only): Participants may join the meeting in listen-only mode by dialing 562-247-8422 and entering the passcode 738-194-223 when prompted.

In-Person Open House Option: Participants may attend in person by going to Volusia County Fairgrounds, Talton Exhibit Hall, 3150 E. New York Ave., DeLand, FL 32724 anytime between 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. to view a looping presentation and project displays, speak with project team members, and submit comments or questions.

If attending in person, please remember to follow all safety and sanitation guidelines as well as adhere to any local ordinances. If you are feeling unwell, please consider attending the meeting virtually or by phone.

All meeting materials, including the presentation, will be available on the project website at www.cflroads.com/project/447724-1 prior to the meeting.

Public participation is solicited without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex, religion, disability, or family status. Persons wishing to express their concerns relative to FDOT compliance with Title VI may do so by contacting Jennifer Smith, FDOT District Five Title VI Coordinator, at [email protected].

The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried on by FDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. §327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 14, 2016, and executed by the Federal Highway Administration and FDOT.

Persons who require accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) or persons who require translation services (free of charge) should contact Mark Trebitz, P.E. at 386-943-5157 or [email protected] at least seven (7) days prior to the meeting. If you are hearing or speech impaired, please contact us by using the Florida Relay Service, 1-800-955-8771 (TDD) or 1-800-955-8770 (Voice).
