Sachs Media Named One of Florida Trend’s 2022 Best Companies to Work For

Posted on July 27, 2022

Sachs Media, Florida’s top PR firm for high-stakes challenges, has been named one of the Best Companies to Work For in Florida by Florida Trend, reflecting the firm’s dedication to nurturing a workplace culture that supports and encourages teamwork, collaboration, and excellence.

“In the post-COVID workplace, many businesses have struggled to retain staff and maintain their workplace culture, but we found creative ways to keep our team connected, supported, and effective,” said President Michelle Ubben. “Recruiting and maintaining a team of high-performing professionals who are deeply motivated to help our clients achieve their important missions is the key to our success.”

When the pandemic began, the firm quickly transitioned to work-from-home. To keep the team connected, Sachs held “Happy Hours” via Zoom – late-afternoon get-togethers held daily through most of the first year. Sachs Media management arranged frequent pick-up meals for staff and a robust program to make home workspaces more accommodating.

Since then, the firm has installed permanent policies embracing ongoing flexibility and increased staff support, including:

  • Additional time off

  • Closing early on Fridays

  • An end-of-year recharge week

  • Greater access to wellness and mental health resources

  • A new certification bonus program to encourage staff development

“I am proud of the culture we’ve built over the past 26 years that supports our team members’ physical and mental wellbeing, encourages work-life balance, and invests in their professional growth,” said Founder & CEO Ron Sachs. “We produce outstanding, high-impact results for our clients by recruiting the right people and taking care of them like we take care of our own families.”

The “Best Companies to Work for in Florida” program was created by Florida Trend in conjunction with Workforce Research Group. This program acknowledges and honors those businesses in Florida that excel in facilitating a positive work environment. Sachs Media and the other winners of this year’s award will be listed in the August issue of Florida Trend magazine.
