On-site D-SNAP Locations in Hardee and Polk Counties Open Friday, October 21 through Sunday, October 23

Posted on October 19, 2022

Department of Children and Families (DCF) Secretary Shevaun Harris announced that two Disaster Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (D-SNAP) locations will be open Friday, October 21 through Sunday, October 23 in Hardee and Polk counties for applicants who want to complete their interview on-site. D-SNAP provides food assistance for individuals and families impacted by Hurricane Ian and who are not receiving food assistance benefits through the regular Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).

Residents of Hardee or Polk who pre-registered but did not have a chance to complete their phone interview can visit the D-SNAP location in their county for an on-site interview. On-site interviews are not required if a phone interview was completed.

Individuals who did not pre-register online before October 16th in these counties are encouraged to pre-register electronically on our website at www.myflfamilies.com/dsnap beginning Friday and then visit the on-site location in their county to complete the interview by Sunday. Pre-registration assistance is available at the on-site location for those who unable to do so beforehand.
