Florida State University and Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare (TMH) will hold an event Wednesday to announce new developments in their partnership to build the FSU Health-Academic Health Center.
This will include a designation of land and the formation of a community advisory group to help guide the two institutions.
The Florida Legislature and Gov. Ron DeSantis awarded FSU $125 million last year to build an academic health center in Tallahassee. The center will be located on the TMH campus and include educational, medical and research laboratory space.
The new advisory group, called the Transformation Committee, is composed of 10 community members — five appointed by FSU and five appointed by TMH — and chaired by Kevin “Casey” Nolan, a partner at the global consulting firm Guidehouse.
