to the University of Central Florida Board of Trustees
Governor Ron DeSantis today announced the reappointment of Digvijay “Danny” Gaekwad to the University of Central Florida Board of Trustees.
Digvijay “Danny” Gaekwad
Gaekwad, of Ocala, is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of NDS USA, the Founder of Danny G Management, the Founder of Danny Development and Investments, and Owner of DG Hospitality. He is the immediate past Chair of the Visit Florida Board of Directors and currently serves on the Enterprise Florida and Space Florida Board of Directors. Gaekwad earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda in India.
This appointment is subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
Governor Ron DeSantis Appoints Three to the State Board of Education
Governor Ron DeSantis today announced the appointment of Kelly Garcia and MaryLynn Magar and the reappointment of Ryan Petty to the State Board of Education.
Kelly Garcia
Garcia serves on the Board of Directors of Frameworks of Tampa Bay and is the Chair of the Research and Development Committee. She currently serves on the Florida Virtual School Board of Trustees. Garcia earned her bachelor’s degree from the Catholic University of America and her master’s degree in business administration from the University of Florida.
MaryLynn Magar
Magar is the Vice President of HeartCare Imaging, Inc. She served as a member of the Florida House of Representatives from 2012 to 2020 and served as Speaker pro tempore from 2018 to 2020. She is a current member of the Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce. Magar earned her bachelor’s degree from Radford University.
Ryan Petty
Petty is the Head of Product and Marketing for Blue Rocket, Inc., Gemini division. Previously, he was Vice President of Product Development and Innovation at ADT, Inc. In honor of his daughter, Alaina, who was killed in 2018 at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, he has worked to improve school safety in Broward County and across the country. In 2018, he was appointed to the Marjory Stoneman Douglas Public Safety Commission which was formed to analyze information from the school shooting and other mass violence incidents in the state and address recommendations and system improvements. Furthermore, he founded The WalkUp Foundation, a non-profit working to prevent the causes of violence in school through advocacy and intervention. Petty earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting and information systems from Brigham Young University.

Governor Ron DeSantis today announced the appointment of Courtney Yarkosky as Chair, Morgan Entsuah, and Laura Tolbert to the Early Learning Coalition of Lake County.
Courtney Yarkosky
Yarkosky, of Montverde, is a Brand Manager for Bacardi USA. She was previously the State Manager for Bacardi USA and a Sales Consultant for Breakthru Beverage Group. Yarkosky earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Central Florida.
Morgan Entsuah
Entsuah, of Clermont, is the Digital and Social Media Coordinator for Consensus Communications. Previously, she was a Marketing Specialist for Orlando Health and a Marketing Assistant for Sodexo. Entsuah earned her bachelor’s degree in public relations from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
Laura Tolbert
Tolbert, of Sorrento, is the Vice President and Loan Officer at the First National Bank of Mount Dora. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the East Lake County Chamber of Commerce and is the Leader of the Girl Scouts of Citrus Council. Tolbert earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Florida and her master’s degree in acquisition and contract management from the Florida Institute of Technology.
Governor Ron DeSantis Appoints Five to the Board of Physical Therapy Practice
Governor Ron DeSantis today announced the appointment of Steven Chenoweth, Ellen Donald, Rebecca Matthews, and Dr. Michele Morgan and the reappointment of Paul Kleponis to the Board of Physical Therapy Practice.
Steven Chenoweth
Chenoweth, of Amelia Island, is the Owner and Physical Therapist of Advance Rehabilitation Management Group, LLC. He is a current member of the Orthopedic and Sports section of the American Physical Therapy Association and the Florida Physical Therapy Association. Chenoweth earned his bachelor’s degree in physical therapy from Georgia State University.
Ellen Donald, PhD
Donald, of Alva, is an Assistant Professor for Florida Gulf Coast University. She currently serves as Florida’s representative on the Board of Directors of the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy. Donald earned her bachelor’s degree in physical therapy from Boston University, her master’s degree in adult education from Syracuse University, and her doctorate degree in educational measurement and research from the University of South Florida.
Rebecca Matthews
Matthews, of Tallahassee, is the Vice President of Automated Health Systems. Previously, she served as the Chief Executive Officer of the Florida Healthy Kids Corporation and the Chief of Staff for the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation. She currently serves as Chair of the Florida Education Foundation. Matthews earned her bachelor’s degree in communications from Florida State University.
Michele Morgan, PhD
Morgan, of Lakewood Ranch, is the President of the Sarasota Campus of Keiser University. She currently serves as a member of the Board of Clinical Laboratory Personnel and the Sarasota and Manatee Chamber of Commerce. Morgan earned her bachelor’s degree in elementary education and her master’s degree in higher education administration from the University of Maine and her doctorate degree in business administration from Argosy University.
Paul Kleponis
Kleponis, of Clermont, is a former Senior Physical Therapist at Jackson Memorial Hospital. He is a veteran of the United States Air Force Reserves and is a current member of the American Physical Therapy Association. Kleponis earned his bachelor’s degree in education from Boston University and his bachelor’s degree in physical therapy from Northwestern University.
