In response to the Governor signing SB 150 – Permitless Carry into law, a bill that allows the carrying of a concealed weapon or concealed firearm, without obtaining and maintaining a concealed weapon or concealed firearm license, Senator Rosalind Osgood (D-Broward County) released the following statement:
“Exactly a week after the heartbreaking mass shooting at The Covenant School in Nashville, Tennessee, Governor DeSantis signed a bill into law that would allow even more guns onto the streets and with even less restrictions.
There is an evident need for gun law reform and this bill is the exact opposite of the progress needed to save lives instead of take them. As I have stated before, for every responsible gun user there is three times as many irresponsible gun users. The fatal possibilities of this new legislation is imminent, and will do more harm than good for our constituents in every space they occupy.”
