The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is closing portions of State Road (S.R.) 408 in downtown Orlando overnight April 13 – 16. The closures are necessary for overhead sign installation.
Westbound S.R. 408 between Summerlin Avenue and Orange Blossom Trail (U.S. 441/17-92) is scheduled to close overnight Thursday, April 13. The closure is scheduled to begin as soon as 11 p.m. and reopen by 5 a.m. the following morning.
Portions of both westbound and eastbound S.R. 408 are scheduled to close the evenings of April 14 – 16. Westbound S.R. 408 will close between Summerlin Avenue and Orange Blossom Trail (U.S. 441/17-92), and eastbound S.R. 408 will close between Orange Avenue and Summerlin Avenue.
The eastbound S.R. 408 ramps to Interstate 4 (I-4) will remain open, and motorists will have access to these ramps during the closure. All other S.R. 408 ramps to and from I-4 are scheduled to close. The closure is scheduled to begin as soon as 11 p.m. and reopen by 6 a.m. the following morning.
The eastbound S.R. 408 entrance ramp at Anderson Street and Delaney Avenue will be closed from 8 p.m. Friday, April 14 to 5 a.m. Monday, April 17.
The eastbound and westbound I-4 Express ramps to S.R. 408 will also close.
