I-95 Southbound between Oakland Park Boulevard and Sunrise Boulevard to Undergo Continuous Lane Closures for Roadway Work, May 12-15, 2023

Posted on May 12, 2023

At least one travel lane will remain open to motorists at all times

As part of 95 Express Phase 3A-1, up to four lanes of I-95 southbound between Oakland Park Boulevard and Sunrise Boulevard may be closed around-the-clock this weekend for roadway work, including placement of the final lift of asphalt and installation of tubular markers to delineate the future Managed Lanes entrance point just north of Sunrise Boulevard.

I-95 southbound, from just south of Oakland Park Boulevard to Sunrise Boulevard, will have up to four inside lanes closed continuously, 10 p.m., Friday night, May 12 until 5:30 a.m., Monday morning, May 15. One to three lanes will remain open as activities allow throughout the weekend operation.

When this operation is completed on Monday morning, May 15, tubular markers will be in place from just north of Oakland Park Boulevard to just north of Sunrise Boulevard. Southbound motorists can enter the Managed Lanes facility at SW 10th Street and Sunrise Boulevard and exit at Oakland Park Boulevard or Davie Boulevard.

Florida Highway Patrol will be on site to ensure motorist and crew safety.
