The event is hosted by Equity Tallahassee Leon
Building off the Race to Be Human launch event last year, Equity Tallahassee Leon is excited to host a youth-led event on Tuesday, May 16 at 7:30 p.m. at Cascades Park. Attendees will get the first chance to publicly see a locally produced video screening featuring conversations with students about the challenging topics and questions that today’s young adults face. Following the screening, a youth panel discussion will be hosted.
The event is open to the public and free for everyone to attend. This initiative is a collaboration among numerous organizations including Equity Tallahassee Leon, Omega Lamplighters, Faith Presbyterian Church, PACE Center for Girls, and others. Equity Tallahassee Leon would like to recognize Hasani Sapp with Hopsain Productions for its contributions to this effort. Granny’s Fried Chicken food truck will also be on site.
