A detour is in place to guide motorists.
Motorists are advised of a road closure along State Road (S.R.) 19 from County Road (C.R.) 314 to S.R. 40 in Marion County due to a wildfire northwest of Astor Park and south of Salt Springs. Those who live along S.R. 19 between C.R. 314 and Forest Road 86 (local traffic) can access S.R. 19 at the north end at C.R. 314. No traffic is permitted along S.R. 19 between S.R. 40 and Forest Road 86.
The following detours will be in place to guide motorists around the closure (see attached map):
- Motorists wishing to head northbound along S.R. 19 will be directed to turn left (west) onto S.R. 40, turn right onto C.R. 314A, and turn right onto Salt Springs Highway (C.R. 314) before reaching S.R. 19.
- Motorists wishing to head southbound along S.R. 19 will be directed to turn right (west) onto Salt Springs Highway (C.R. 314), turn left onto C.R. 314A, and turn left onto S.R. 40 before reaching S.R. 19.
Motorists are asked to drive safe, stay alert, and follow the detour in place.
