Pinellas County man collects $2 million top prize from the $10 MONOPOLY DOUBLER Scratch-Off game

Posted on July 20, 2023

The Florida Lottery (Lottery) today announces that Danny Pierce, 64, of St. Petersburg, claimed a $2 million top-prize from the $10 MONOPOLY DOUBLER Scratch-Off game at Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee. Pierce chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $1,597,848.00.

Pierce purchased his winning ticket from Blue Nile Food Market, located at 1600 18th Avenue South in St. Petersburg. The retailer will receive a $4,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.

The $10 MONOPOLY DOUBLER Scratch-Off game features more than $176 million in cash prizes, including eight top prizes of $2 million! The game’s overall odds of winning are one-in-3.51.

Scratch-Off games are an important part of the Lottery’s portfolio of games, comprising approximately 77 percent of ticket sales in fiscal year 2021-2022. Since inception, Scratch-Off games have generated more than $17.77 billion for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF).
