LeadingAge Florida, Florida’s only association representing the entire continuum of care for older adults, is proud to announce the election of its new Board of Trustees and the installation of its new Board Chair.
Garry Hennis, Chief Operating Officer for Westminster Communities of Florida, took over as the association’s Board Chair during LeadingAge Florida’s 60th Annual Convention and Exposition in Orlando last week. Mr. Hennis succeeds Bruce Jones, CEO of Vicar’s Landing in Ponte Vedra Beach, whose leadership has been instrumental in guiding LeadingAge Florida through a transformative period of growth and advocacy.

The newly elected Board of Trustees includes leaders from various senior living organizations, bringing a diverse range of experiences and skills to the Board. For the first time, the Board will also have a member from Alabama to represent the association’s Alabama members.

As the elected leaders of LeadingAge Florida, the Board of Trustees will play a crucial role in shaping the association’s strategic initiatives, collaborating with policymakers, and addressing the evolving needs of seniors and senior care providers in the state.
For 60 years, LeadingAge Florida has been the state’s leading advocate for high-quality senior living, aging services and care. We are the only statewide association representing the full continuum of care for seniors. The Association provides up-to-date regulatory information, a wide variety of educational opportunities, representation before the Legislature and government agencies, group purchasing services, and opportunities for networking with peers to help member communities best serve the needs of Florida’s senior population.
