Next weekend, Representative Felicia Simone Robinson (D-Miami Gardens) will be hosting the second semi-annual Teacher’s Lounge celebration at the Southwest Focal Point Community Center.
Representative Robinson seeks to celebrate local teachers in House District 104 in an afternoon of motivational speakers, brunch, classroom supplies, and other gifts. The goal is to highlight the importance of recognizing teachers and inspiring them to continue to work with our children.
“As a teacher, there is virtually never enough time or resources. Teaching the next generation has never been an easy career, but the past three years have tested the education community like nothing else in our lifetime,” said Representative Robinson. “Simple events like this can provide some of the encouragement teachers need to continue with the important work of educating and nurturing our children.”
The Teacher’s Lounge celebration will take place from 11 AM to 2 PM on Sunday, August 6, 2023 at the Southwest Focal Point Community Center at 301 N.W. 103 Avenue, Pembroke Pines Florida. All local teachers, educators, and academic administrators are encouraged to attend. Tickets are currently available on Eventbrite.
