Work is Honored in Four Categories Including Top Public Affairs Campaign
Continuing its track record of excellence in public relations and public affairs, Sachs Media took home five awards at last night’s 2023 Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA) Golden Image Award Ceremony in Orlando – including top public affairs campaign.
Sachs Media received the top honor for the state’s best public affairs campaign, earning both a Golden Image Award and Judges Award for the Florida Realtors Hometown Hero Housing Program Campaign, which generated public awareness and legislative support to secure $100 million in funding for affordable housing for law enforcement, firefighters, teachers, health care workers, and others financially struggling to live in the communities they serve. In the program’s first year, more than 6,700 Florida families were able to purchase homes through the ongoing program.
“We are driven to make a meaningful impact for our clients, whose missions are changing the world,” said Michelle Ubben, President & CEO. “These awards are a testament to our team’s passion, dedication, and commitment to excellence.”
Sachs Media’s other recognitions include:
- Award of Distinction in the Public Service category for the Early Learning Coalition of Northwest Florida’s Kickstart Success Campaign, which highlighted the critical need for child care teachers to address the growing shortage of child care teachers within the coalition’s seven-county region.
- Award of Distinction in the Community Relations category for Farah & Farah’s Vote Boldly, a campaign that incentivized voters to cast ballots in the midterm elections by offering a free coffee reward from select local coffee shops. The campaign led to an astonishing outcome of nearly 2,000 ballots cast – and a corresponding number of coffees distributed. The campaign achieved an unprecedented level of engagement across the law firm’s social media platforms.
- Award of Distinction in the Other Campaigns category for Florida Kidcare’s Back-to-School Countdown campaign, which raised awareness of Kidcare’s affordable health insurance plans and provided families with resources and information to enroll their children for the upcoming school year.
The FPRA Golden Image Awards competition is conducted annually to recognize outstanding public relations programs in Florida and to encourage and promote the development of public relations. The Golden Image Awards have become a standard of excellence in the state of Florida.
