The Florida Public Service Commission (PSC) will begin a hearing on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, to consider Peoples Gas System, Inc.’s (PGS) petition for a rate increase.
PGS—a subsidiary of TECO Gas Operations, Inc.—is a natural gas local distribution company serving approximately 470,000 customers in 39 counties. As part of the ratemaking process, the Commission conducted four virtual and two in-person service hearings in June and July to allow feedback from customers about PGS’s quality of service and rate increase request.
PGS’s rate case hearing is scheduled to begin at the following time and location:

August 30 – September 1 are reserved for continuation of the hearing, if needed. The starting time of the next day’s session will be announced at the conclusion of the prior day’s hearing.
