FDOT Postpones Upcoming Two Public Meetings Due to Approaching Storm

Posted on August 28, 2023

Both meetings will be rescheduled at a later date

Due to the approaching Tropical Storm/Hurricane Idalia, the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is postponing this week’s planned public meetings. Both meetings will be rescheduled, and the new dates will be announced once they’re rescheduled.

The first public meeting was scheduled for Tuesday, August 29, and regards plans on U.S. 1 from Myers Drive to the Crane Creek Bridge in the cities of Palm Bay and Melbourne, Brevard County. Information about that project is available at www.CFLRoads.com/project/448793-1.

The second meeting was scheduled for Thursday, August 31, and regards plans for safety improvements on South Ridgewood Avenue (U.S. 1) at the intersection of Marion Avenue in Edgewater, Volusia County. Information about that project is available at https://www.cflroads.com/project/992200-2.

Public participation is solicited without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex, religion, disability, or family status. Persons wishing to express their concerns relative to FDOT compliance with Title VI may do so by contacting Melissa McKinney, FDOT District Five Title VI Coordinator, at [email protected].

Media inquiries should be directed to the FDOT District Five Public Information Office at [email protected] or by phone at 386-943-5593.
